Have a desire for postpartum care?

Empowered Motherhood Network Association(EMNA) is a non-profit organization providing and promoting Non-Medical Postpartum Care Support Services for mothers and families in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Nothing is impossible when we come as one, as a community to strengthen each other when we know a new generation has been born to us.

Who We Are

Empowered Motherhood Network Association is a registered

Non-Profit Organization based in Edmonton, Alberta,

dedicated to providing Non-Medical complimentary prenatal

and postpartum support care to mothers at no cost.

The postpartum period is the first 42 weeks after your baby’s birth.

Empowered Motherhood Network Association is here to support expectant and new mothers with their families providing non-medical care services during the postpartum period.

EMNA will provide emotional, physical and informational support while providing care for the new mothers, the babies and their family.

EMNA’s postpartum non-medical care support strategies, responsibilities and information is evidence-based that will help families make sound decisions.

All resources provided during the postpartum period do not replace the need to seek medical and professional advice.

Advocacy

Empowering choice

EMNA services are evidence-based, using knowledge and current research to encourage and support changes in Postpartum as a whole.

EMNA understands the unpredictable nature of challenges often associated with mental health medical conditions, and how to support mothers and new parents through their Postpartum period.

EMNA knows mothers need to feel in control of what happens to their bodies, and that their making informed choices about their care to create a positive experience and alleviate trauma.

Postpartum care support can change a mother’s healthcare experience for the better by supporting their bodily autonomy and informed decision-making.

Mission

Who we support

To provide mothers and other new parents with emotional, physical, and mental health non-medical support care. EMNA aspires to offer remarkable free non-medical reproductive support care services because we understand how important it is for mothers to have these services during the life-changing prenatal and postpartum period.

Our goal is to make sure that expectant mothers and new parents in the Edmonton community and surrounding areas have a pleasant transition into parenthood by providing them with individualized and all-encompassing support. We are dedicated to supporting people with intersectional identities, such as BIPOC, recent immigrants, low-income individuals, those leaving prisons, and teen mothers.

Vision

Hope for change

To alleviate mental health concerns that result from postpartum vulnerability

Our vision at Empowered Motherhood Network Association (EMNA) is a future in which all mothers, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, have unwavering access to non-medial reproductive support care services that put their mental health and general well-being at risk. By recruiting and educating knowledgeable, empathetic doulas and support teams, we aim to lessen the risk of mental health and other adverse health conditions.
