Background
The Empowered Motherhood Network Association (EMNA) was inspired by the personal stories and experiences of the associations founders and established for the purpose of providing mothers with reproductive support care services.
For the past fifteen years, EMNA has provided prenatal and postpartum care support services for mothers, friends, and families in the community through individual initiative and pro bono work. As we transition from an individual and private initiative to a now non-profit organization, we recognize that much more work remains to be done to bridge the gap caused by not only a lack of access to reproductive care resources but also socioeconomic barriers that families encounter.
EMNA prioritizes reproductive care support for mothers during the final prenatal stage, to support mothers in preparing for a successful delivery and the postpartum period for up to three months for optimal lifelong outcomes for both mom and baby.
